Ron Green | President | Presenter Breakfast Show

Ron Green is the schmuck who volunteered to get up early every day after he retired from paid employment a few years ago. If he’s been very naughty, Ron can be seen riding his bike up the hill to arrive at the studio by 7am, but usually only on chilly winter mornings. The Breakfast Show is a staple offering at RBM, with a loyal listener base and consistent mostly new-wave pop fare that takes us back, walking through the park (in our mind) and reminiscing (“hurry, don’t be late!”).

He is a huge Beatles fan, with his favourite album being the White Album, though he hesitates to choose between Lennon & McCartney when asked to name his favourite front man. As well as a tireless unpaid worker bee at RBM, Ron and his wife help run a queer support hotline and Ron is also an active RFS volunteer. Ron keeps threatening to quit breakfast radio but (thankfully for his audience) no-one else wants to do it so he’s learning some affirmations to remind himself daily how much he loves it.

Regtgie Lawless | Presenter Wednesday Night Music & The Beatles Hour

Reggie joined the RBM Committee as a general member in 2021. He has been with the radio station since 2018.
Born in Dublin and raised in a musical household, his love of music and appreciation of a wide range of genres comes from listening to his tenor father sing while being accompanied by his mother on piano at family gatherings, and 3 older siblings who were regularly arriving home with LP’s from the likes of Thin Lizzy, The Police, and ELO, while he disgraced them all with his first 7” single in 1980, “Kings of the Wild Frontier” by Adam & The Ants.
He loves Community Radio and is thrilled to participate in what is essentially an alternative to the mainstream. He is a father of two boys who are both taller than him now, despite being quite a bit younger.

Since becoming a member of the station’s Management Committee, Reggie has taken on helping with the marketing and promotion of the station with great success!
