Every week we showcase a wide array of musical acts in pursuit of a different theme, ranging from glam rock, psychedelia, synthpop, ska, Motown, the music of each Aussie state, musos from countries and cities around the world, and the work of some of the top songwriters over the last 60 years. ‘The Theme Machine’, every Saturday from nine until noon, with Paul Young, on your community radio station, 89.1 on the FM dial, or streaming live via rbm.org.au

Hi all,

Hope we are all well.

So after over 15,000 (or so) tracks listened to over the past 12 months, I have now compiled all our choice picks of tracks that made it to our 'Tune of the month" into a 1 hour set.

I'll be mixing up these tracks for the second half of our show this coming Sunday, whilst also hitting you up with some of the finest funk and soul tracks of last year.

Artists making it to the final set include Marco Lys, Jet Boot Jack, DOORLY, 2 from Stan Kolev, The Golden Boy, Nolek, Emi Galvan, Sinner & James, Yotto, and JACQ.

Each of these artists have produced many fine tracks over the last year, and we wish them the very best for 2021.

Also, I'll be also delving into the finest 2020 funk releases from around the globe, including the likes of Flevans, Prosper (Dj), 13Monkeys Records, The Haggis Horns, Izo FitzRoy, Krafty Kuts, Smoove and Turrell, The Allergies, Kylie Auldist plus many more.

Unfortunately, no Mr. Kevlar again as he doesn't arrive back to the Blue Mountains for a few more days... Those who are after a fix of deep soulful house will have to hold out just one more week.
