Penrith Regional Gallery presents a mid-career survey of acclaimed First Nations artist Blak Douglas, who began his creative life in Penrith and went on to exhibit around Australia and overseas, winning the Archibald Prize in 2022 with his portrait of fellow First Nations artists Karla Dickens. This new free exhibition includes early work that has not been seen before, and covers the artist’s career so far to the present. A fantastic overview of an endlessly inventive mind and energetic activist. Don’t miss the free artist talk with Blak Douglas and co-curator Djon Mundine on Sunday 23 March at 11am, bookings not required.
