Over two weekends in September, nine private gardens in Linden, Woodford, Hazelbrook and Lawson will be open to the public. From charming native bush gardens to park-style sanctuaries, each garden will showcase diverse designs and plant collections that will inspire
garden lovers and raise funds for Hazelbrook Public School, a local primary school.
This year marks 40 years since the first Garden Festival in 1984, when a garden owner and a parent from the school’s P&C Committee created the Festival as a fundraising event. Since then, the Mid-Mountains Garden Festival has continued to flourish with the generous
support of local gardeners, parent volunteers and local businesses. This year, all proceeds from the Festival will go towards an essential upgrade of technology at the school.
The Festival will be a family-friendly event featuring a scavenger hunt for children. Kids who complete their scavenger hunt booklet will receive a goodie bag at the end.
