🌟Join me in the fight against sepsis!🌟
I’m running to raise awareness and funds for sepsis research. I am doing this for 2 reasons. When my daughter Lola was born, it was obvious she was very, very unwell. She was diagnosed with an infection which developed into a sepsis response, pneumonia and meningitis. Thankfully, she recovered fully and shows no signs of her tough start to life. The second reason doesn’t have such a happy ending, I will be doing it to honor my dad who passed away from sepsis suddenly last year. He was sick Wednesday with what we thought was a minor bug, went to hospital Thursday and passed in the early hours of Friday – that’s how quick it can progress from nothing. In Australia, sepsis affects over 50,000 people each year and claims more lives than breast and prostate cancer combined. Your support can make a difference—whether by donating, sharing this post, or participating in the event. Let’s come together to combat this critical issue and improve outcomes for those affected. I will be kicking off my journey on anniversary of dads passing, the 25th of August, with a 6 hour run with the goal being a 12 hour run in the summer holidays… or 24 hours if we reach the $10000 goal by December 1! 💪 https://gofund.me/d0f5e3d1 💪 #SepsisAwareness #CharityRun
