Springwood Acoustic Club’s first feature artist for Spring 2024 is the inimitable Josh Shipton, appearing on Thursday 26th. Identifying as indie musician, philosopher and clown, Josh Shipton mixes the difficult sides of the human condition with his bizarre sense of humour. He is vigorously active with bands the Blue Eyed Ravens, The Valentitanic Trio, Shark Arm, and Tree As One, variously taking the role of guitarist, bassist and vocalist, and topping it all off as composer/conductor of the Josh Shipton Orchestra. At times rousing, sometimes gentle, he is always engaging.

The night will also feature the regular round-robin, where anyone that wants to has a chance to perform. Sing a song, sing along, bring a poem or story, or just listen in. From 730pm in the Springwood Presbyterian Church Hall. $10/$7 includes refreshments.
