Clean Up Wittenoom Mine
Concert Fundraiser

On Sunday October 29 from 2pm till 4.30pm at the Wentworth Falls School of Arts there will be a concert to help raise funds for the Banjima Native Title Aboriginal Corporation with their ongoing campaign to the WA government to clean up the Wittenoom asbestos mine.
Witternoom located in the Pilbara Region around 1400 KMS north of Perth in Western Australia has been reported as one of the largest contaminated sites in the southern hemisphere covering an area estimated to be around 50,000 hectares. This community concert is a chance to continue raise awareness around the ongoing impacts of asbestos mining on the environment, traditional lands, people, and place.
Please join us on day filled with music, stories and a shared afternoon tea. With performances from Crowd Around Community Choir, The Heathens, Wombats Crossing and A Few Good Spooky Men.
A Silent Auction will be held on the day with a variety of amazing artwork donated for the event including work by Lee Hampdon.
Tickets are $25 wage and $15 unwaged and are available through Humanitx My Cause. OR just put Wittenoom Fundraiser in your search engine to get the link and find out more. Doors open at 1.30pm.
