To celebrate the launch of their eponymous debut EP, The Third Voice are playing at Springwood Presbyterian Church Hall, Springwood at 7 pm on Saturday, August 3rd.
Usually a self-sufficient all-female vocal harmony trio, they have decided to play the gig with the Blue Mountains cohort that helped make some special tracks happen on the EP. Faulconbridge local with an international reputation, producer Llew Kiek (Mara!, Martenitsa), will be joining them on guitar. Recent arrival to the mountains, Peter Firth will be playing bass and Jess Ciampa (Monsieur Camembert, Sydney Symphony Orchestra, The Lion King) will be making the trek from Sydney to higher ground to join them on percussion. And for the acoustic purists, the trio will also be singing some of their signature a cappella vocals on some Afro-cuban numbers for the launch. Local act Oud Vibrations will be opening the night with some sinuous and subtle strings plus rhythms. Percussionist and singer Andy Busuttil from the duo runs Blue Mountain Sound at Hazelbrook
where the EP was mastered by Greg Seiler
A limited edition CD of the EP will be available for sale at the launch and its digital cousin is already available through Bandcamp: https://thethirdvoicetrio.bandcamp.com/album/the-third-voice
