We broadcast live from the 2023 Winter Magic Festival in Katoomba on June 24th. Time Tunnel host Tony Eades compered the parade, from outside Katoomba Music on Katoomba Street, while Blue Mountains Live presenter Brad Diedrich used all his local know how to organise a constant stream of interesting people to speak On Air.

After years of covid and cancellations, it was magnificent to be out in the streets again, meeting people, playing music and taking part in this brilliant community event.

Time Tunnel presenter Tony Eades (left) and a crack team of RBM presenters including Susanne, Ian, Kirby, Iain, Robyn, Lana and more were on location in a particularly breezy spot in Katoomba Street to compere the Winter Magic Parade live on RBM 89.1Fm from 11am.

Tony and the RBM Crew were just outside the famous Katoomba Music shop on Katoomba Street.

The outside broadcast was a great success and really captured the essence of Winter Magic.

Our roving reporters caught up with some real characters in the crowd and the electric atmosphere carried really well over the airwaves. Thank you to all volunteers from RBM who dedicated themselves to the day, and thank you to all those who participated in the on street interviews.
