Scattered Sounds

Scattered Sounds is on air every Wednesday night from 6-8pm with John Unicomb bringing you an ever-varied musical experience each week. John plays original vinyl recordings from his truly extensive record collection. Some weeks he’ll present the music of Motown, other weeks he’ll bring in his Atlantic records collection and present two hours of R ‘n’ B. Another week, he’ll be playing Johann Sebastian Bach, or the Wind Instruments of India.

One Love

Maynard and Claire present “One Love”, a Reggae & Ska music show, with some light entertainment thrown in. Tuesdays 8-10pm.

Wednesday Night Music

Each week from 8-10pm Wednesday Night Music presents a range of new wave, lo-fi, folk and blues with a focus on the host’s interesting, albeit dubious, belief that Track 3 on any given album is the essential track.

Blue Mountains Live

Blue Mountains Live is a weekly Event and Gig guide for the entire Blue Mountains region from Lithgow to Penrith presented by Brad Diedrich. There is a Facebook event page and soon to come a website with events, directories and a regularily updated photo gallery.

The Annex

The Annex is a journey of musical madness and mayhem playing out every Wednesday evening from 10pm. Join your host Brian Giffin for two hours of metal, punk, rock and grind from around the corner and around the world. Every week we crack open the archives and dig out a classic from 50, 40, 30 and 20 years ago, find a Gone But Not Forgotten gem from the annals of Australian rock and metal history, highlight a cover song and a live track and our regular feature Closing Chapter shines the spotlight on the often-obscure final song on an album.

IT Tips

From 2-4pm every Sunday afternoon Tristan Norton, formerly of The Blackheath Hour, is in the studio to answer your IT queries and play some chilled out tunes.

The Australian Music Show

Ron Green has carved a niche for good Australian music on RBMFM and we couldn’t let that tradition built up over many years of The Breakfast Show go away, so he has poured it all into a two hour all Australian Music Show.

Good Morning Country [CRN]

The CBAA Community Radio Network presents Good Morning Country. From bush ballads to the latest country chart-toppers from Tamworth to Nashville, Good Morning Country with Kevin Walsh and others, will have you toe-tappin’ and boot-scootin’ before you’ve downed your first cuppa.

A Little Bit of Everything

Presented every Monday from 9am, Marlene Churn brings you a “A Little Bit Of Everything” til 11am. Marlene’s a connoisseur of Sydney music from the 80’s and 90’s and interweaves classic tunes from back in the day with topical content, like Carers in the Community, local events, and, well, A Little Bit of Everything for you to enjoy.

Drum & Bass

Brenz likes to play Hip Hop /Jazz / Funk in the first hour then get down to business at around 7pm with Drum & Bass which will be a mix of brand new tracks & old genres like Liquid / Tech Step / Jump Up / Darkside etc. Brenz ends the show with quirky tracks or comedy sketches to put a smile on the listeners’ faces 🙂

Time Tunnel & Drive

From 4 – 5pm on Thursday, highly experienced DJ Tony Eades presents the Time Tunnel with music, news, entertainment, and events from a particular year and it’s your job to guess the year before all is revealed at 5pm. Then from 5-6pm Tony plays fantastic music while he gives you all the traffic and train updates you’ll need to get yourself home on Drive.

The Sour Hour

Monika Gronk presents one Hour of Sour on Radio Blue Mountains 89.1FM, Monday nights 8-9pm.

The Breakfast Show

Join RBM every weekday morning live in our Katoomba studio from 7 – 9am and start your day with news, weather, and the latest transport information – along with music from the ’60s, ’70s, ’80s and ’90s. Monday with Marlene Churn, Tuesday with Ron Green, Wednesday with Patrick Leonard, Thursday with Murray Reid and Friday with Brad Diedrich.

Sahaja Yoga Meditation Program

Steve presented The Soccer Show saturday nights on RBM from 1998 to 2008. Now after a 14 year hiatus he’s back with a Thursday night football and music show, covering the local game here in the Blue Mountains, the New South Wales National Premier League, the A – League Men’s and Women’s competition, as well as a look overseas to the English Premier League, the Champions League, Europa League and more. Feisty, Fabulous and Fifty+

Local author Julie Ankkers presents ‘Feisty, Fabulous & 50+’ an upbeat program with a magazine-style format for the over 50’s with positive straight talk on food, travel, gardening, health, finance, real estate, local events and more.

The Beatles Hour

Join RBM every Saturday morning from 8-9am for an hour of music by The Beatles. The fountain of all Beatles knowledge, Ron Green presents a Beatles show focusing on a particular album and demonstrates his incredible knowledge of the most beloved band in pop music history. From 1963’s Please Please Me to 1970’s Let It Be, Ron plays Beatles classics and other not so well known tracks as he takes you on a chronological journey through the Fab Fours entire catalogue.

Green Thumbs

The show features gardeners from the mountains sharing their secrets on how they are working with the often challenging climatic conditions, varying soils and different aspects to build healthy, attractive abundant gardens in the Blue Mountains. These locals and other experts will discuss how they are creating healthy soils, contributing to food sovereignty, supporting local economies and building resilience and well-being in communities.

The Blackheath Show

Blackheath is a small, vibrant, artistic village in the upper regions of the Blue Mountains with tremendous community spirit and camaraderie during the cold winter months.
