Dr Lana Leslie is a proud Kamilaroi woman with ancestral ties to Coonabarabran and Moree, NSW and since 2015 has lived on Dharug and Gundungurra Country in the Blue Mountains. Lana is the founder and Managing Director of Gunnedah Hill Pty Ltd (keep link to www.gunnedahhill.com.au), an Aboriginal Management Consultancy based in the Blue Mountains. With a career of over 30 years, Lana’s current work focuses on reconciliation, cultural safety and providing professional development to organisations.
Burrulaa Yugal, meaning ‘Many Songs’ from Lana’s Kamilaroi language, celebrates First Nations peoples and music, including current issues and education. The show includes music and yarns with First Nations and non-First Nations peoples.
Burrulaa Yugal was previously titled ‘Yarning with Lana’ and commenced on air in July 2022. In 2023, the show title changed as Lana moved from Friday afternoons to Monday mornings on air..
