Friday 4pm – 6pm

Presented By Fran Dyson, Debra Smith and the BMUC Crew

Rights, Rorts & Rants is presented every Friday afternoon by Fran Dyson and Debra Smith on behalf of Blue Mountains Unions & Community (BMUC).

In the late 1980s the BMUC was formed by Blue Mountains activists from different unions as a community organisation to “advance unionism, living standards, social justice and employment” in the Blue Mountains. In August 1997 the BMUC was incorporated in NSW under the Associations Incorporation Act 1984.

The Rights, Rorts & Rants radio show is the voice of the organisation and of people who believe in its message of social consciousness and responsibility.

“In an age of rising inequality and shrinking journalism Rights Rorts & Rants aims to champion people’s rights and expose rampant rorts with rants that enlighten and entertain”.

“Our editorial policy is guided by BMUC’s core objectives – to advance unionism, living standards, social justice, working conditions, and full employment”.
